An eBusiness WEB Site

An effective WEB site is an essential component of any eBusiness. A WEB
site can progress through various stages, depending on the requirements of
	your business.
	Step 1 - A basic online presence
A WEB site starts with a "WEB presence" that describes your
business, your products and your services, and provides contact information
so that potential customers can contact you by E-Mail or phone.  This
is essentially an "online brochure" that creates a professional image for
your company, establishes credibility, and meets the information needs of
	potential customers.
An important point in designing this "first step" WEB site is to design
the WEB site through the eyes of the visitor - your potential customer.
Many WEB sites contain content that describes all of the products, services,
and expertise of the company, but provides very little
	useful information on the
benefits that they deliver.  Our recommendation is to get existing
customers involved in creating the content.  Some of your customers
	may be able to
write more effective WEB site content than you or your staff.

	Step 2 - Generate traffic,
	track visitors, create relationships

The next step is to get more visitors to your site. This
can be done through traditional advertising and through WEB methods, such as
Search Engine Optimization, Google AdWords, and affiliate marketing.
Site activity can be tracked to determine how effective these efforts are.
Your site can also contain a registration form, which will give you
information on potential customers, and the ability to communicate special
	offers or other information.

	Step 3 - Build eBusiness
	functions

From here, there are many options that will be specific
to your business... such as portals that provide information services
to your staff, your customers, your partners, and your suppliers.
